| An outstanding holiday destination
for all the family |

On the beach,
everyone can do what they like best: whether they're snoozing
or bathing, jogging or making sand castles, jet skiing or sand
yachting, the fresh sea air offers the same benefits for all.
The keenest ones are the surfers and bodyboarders, who can enjoy
one of the top spots in Europe here. Other attractions offered
by the sea include fishing, whether in the form of big-game fishing
aboard specially equipped boats, or surf casting from the beach
or the wooden pier, which is an ideal spot to go fishing for sea
bream.
The many lakes
and ponds in the pine forest are also a major attraction. The
nearby lake of Hossegor, has become a paradise for water sports
(windsurfing, pedal boats, Optimists, etc.) and its safe bathing
is much appreciated by the little ones.
Golf lovers,
for their part, will be delighted by the excellent courses at
Seignosse and Hossegor, which are both surrounded by pine forests.
And for a bit of variety, the best golf courses in the Basque
country and the Landes (Moliets, Chiberta, Biarritz, etc.) lie
within a 50 km radius.
Finally, take
advantage of your stay to discover the local traditions and folklore
via the extensive range of activities and entertainment available
here: watching wading birds in their natural setting, folk dances,
pelota tournaments, Landes racing at the arènes and bullfights
at St Vincent de Tyrosse and Bayonne. Other events not to be missed
are the surfing competitions, regattas and other festivals held
here throughout the summer.
